Can't Wait To Marry You came about when I sat down at the piano and said today I'm going to write a song. It was the 11th of April, 2001. I'd mainly written all of my songs on the guitar and thought I should write a song on piano for a change.
I sat down and started to play some chords from a very old song called Bless This House. I used to sing this song a lot as a child and I loved to play it to reflect on.
Then I started to think about my husband whom I love so much. I felt so blessed to be so much in love with him. I began to imagine him at the end of the aisle and me walking toward him on our wedding day. I saw his smile and how I felt at the time of our wedding and how I would feel if I were to marry him again.
In 20 minutes Can't Wait to Marry You was born, the rest is history. It is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever written.
